The NJAJ Boardwalk Seminar is an annual three-day event hosted by the New Jersey Association for Justice, the organisation representing plaintiff trial attorneys across the state. This 2026 edition took place from Wednesday, April 29 through Friday, May 1 at Harrah’s Atlantic City, bringing together attorneys, medical experts, and legal professionals from across New Jersey and the country.

About Dr Peter Zahos
Dr. Zahos is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine with a focus on the surgical treatment of spinal disease, neurotrauma, and deep brain stimulation (DBS), and was an early adopter of frameless stereotactic techniques for the placement of DBS electrodes for movement disorders.
He was formerly an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and the chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University, his medical degree at George Washington University, and his neurosurgical training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has served on the medical school faculties at the University of Michigan, University of Miami, and
New York Medical College.
About Dr William D. Long III
Dr William D. Long III is a dedicated orthopedic spine surgeon at Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine. Having trained at some of the most prestigious schools and hospitals in the country, Dr. Long has made the practice of spinal surgery his primary focus. After years in Philadelphia, New Haven, and New York City, he has moved to the Manhattan suburbs in northern New Jersey and operates at multiple hospitals, including Hackensack University Medical Center and Hudson Regional Hospital.
His award-winning achievements throughout his career highlight his dedication to excellent patient cae,
evidence-based medicine, and optimal surgical outcomes. Dr. Long believes in the importance of rigorous medical education and, as such, continues to publish book chapters and scholarly journal articles focused on spinal disease and treatment. He also teaches the next generation of doctors, having previously been an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hackensack-Meridian School of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Long has experience in the following procedures, among others: ACD (with fusion or disc replacement), microdiscectomy, minimally invasive fusions, and microdecompressions.
