What is TenJet?
TenJet is a minimally invasive tenotomy (tendon-cutting) system that the team at Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine uses to remove damaged tissues from within your joints. The streamlined procedure allows you to remove as much damaged tissue as possible while preserving the healthy surrounding tissues.
The device includes a needle-like applicator with two passages that your physician carefully inserts near your injury. One passage releases a steady stream of a saline solution that removes diseased areas of your tendons. The other suctions the dislodged, damaged tissue out of the joint.
Your doctor may add an infusion of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to your procedure. PRP is a substance derived from your blood that contains healing factors and platelets that work to speed up your injury’s healing.
